About our Founder

Damien Vallernaud started the company in 2002, officially naming it in 2013. His passion for architecture and construction grew from his youth, sketching home designs while observing his uncles, accomplished architects in France. This early inspiration led him to intern at architectural firms during his high school summers. In the early 90s, he attended the University of Southern California’s School of Architecture before pivoting to earn a degree in business entrepreneurship from the Marshall School of Business.

This unique blend of creative and strategic expertise shaped his approach to high-end residential construction. His leadership continues to drive Vallernaud Construction Inc.’s reputation for excellence, detail and fine home building with a client-focused collaborative mindset. To this day, he loves what is created at the end of each project, it’s perennial nature and the home it creates for VCI’s clients and their families.
